I hope that anyone who might read this has been as blessed with their "circle of friends" as I have. Over the years, God has sent a great many awesome ladies into my life. I have indeed been blessed. I have two very special friends I have known for almost two decades by now. When we were younger, they were always there for me. Having baby showers for me, fixing meals for my family when I was sick. Making fabulous gowns, quilts and countless other gift items for me. When my children were young and I was in the middle of 'baby survival", I always had good intentions to do nice things for them...but never had the time. Nowadays, although life is still incredibly busy, I've found that I am better able to make a moment or two to do a nice thing once in a while. I saw this pattern in a book called "Circle of Friends" and I immediately wanted to make it for the three of us. I had a deadline when I needed to have them completed, but as the deadline drew closer, it didn't look like I was going to make it. Originally, I was going to make three of these into pillow form. It just couldn't happen. I did however manage to get the tops cut out and all sewn together. So on my deadline date, which was the Fourth of July, I rolled them up with some extra coordinating fabric and gave them to my dearies as they were. They loved them! These ladies are super talented and insisted they were happy I didn't make them into pillows....they wanted to use them for table runners! So....here's mine, all completed and looking cute as can be. I love the imperfectness of it! Just like the three of us! Imperfect...oh yes...but choosing to "bloom where we were planted"! Cindy and Theresa....thank you so much for all the years of friendship and fun. Looking forward to at least a couple more good decades!!
